Andres Triviño

Colombian

Born: 18 July 1968

From: Cali, Colombia

Lives: New York, USA

Triviño is the owner of Pogo Skate, in Cali, Colombia.  Pogo and Skurff are now working together on a few projects. Triviño has been skating since 1980 when he was 12 years old, when his grandfather brought a cruiser board back from the United States.

In 1989 he traveled to Ecuador to buy skate gear to bring back and sell in Cali, Colombia as there were no skate shops at that time.   Between 1990 and 1998 the skateboard evolved to have nose and tail pop and this is when Triviño started doing tricks.  This is also when he set up a branch of the Medellin skate shop ‘Skate House’ in Cali, Colombia.  In 1999 he started his own skate shop called ‘Mantis’, then in 2000 he closed his Mantis shop and opened a new shop called ‘Adrenalina’.  In 2002 Adrenalina was closed and Pogo Skate shop was born.  Pogo Skate Shop then branched into Pogo Films Skateboarding.  In 2008 Triviño moved to New York but Pogo is still running in Cali.  Triviño has a wife and three kids and all the family is involved in the skate industry.  Triviño is also a drummer in a few different punk bands.
